What Coralville folks store with us

Coralville is about 20 miles from us, roughly a half hour up I-380. Plenty of Coralville people fly out of CID, so storage near the airport just fits into trips they already make.

Between apartments near the Iowa River Landing and the strip of newer homes, Coralville has a lot of people living in tighter spaces. A 10x20 works like an extra garage for bikes, furniture and seasonal gear.

Coralville also has a lot of University of Iowa students and staff. Summer storage, move-out weeks and semester-abroad gaps are a big part of our calendar.

Common reasons people rent a unit

• Moving and in-between leases, when the old place ends before the new one starts
• Downsizing, when the family furniture is too good to toss but too much for the new house
• Business inventory, samples and shipping supplies for small shops and online sellers
• Contractor tools and materials, with drive-up access so you can back the truck right in
• Seasonal gear like snowblowers, patio furniture, holiday decorations and lake toys
• Files and business records that need a dry, locked spot
• Cars, trucks, RVs, campers, boats and trailers
• Apartment renters who need room for bikes, furniture and holiday stuff
• Retailers and small shops looking for overflow inventory space
• University of Iowa students and families who need summer storage between move-out and fall

Indoor car storage near the Cedar Rapids airport

A lot of Coralville customers use a unit for a car. Maybe it is a summer convertible, a classic that only comes out for car shows, or a second car you do not need every day. Our 10x20 holds most cars and SUVs, and the 10x30 with electricity lets you keep a battery maintainer plugged in all winter. Every unit has a drive-up door, so you pull straight in.

Iowa winters are hard on cars parked outside. Salt, ice and hail all take their toll. Keeping a car inside a locked unit protects the paint and saves you from scraping the windshield every morning.

Full-service option

Do not want to deal with it yourself? Ask about our full-service setup. Drop your car off, ride our shuttle to the terminal, and we can have the car detailed while you are gone. When you land, it is clean and ready. It works for a long weekend or for a car you are putting away for the whole season.

Frequent flier? Keep your car in your own unit

If you fly out of CID every week or two, daily parking adds up fast. Many Coralville travelers rent their own unit, park the car inside, and take a short Uber or rideshare to the terminal. Your car stays locked and out of the weather, and you are not paying by the day. A 10x20 is $135 a month, with 50% off the first 3 months.
